Mitsubishi adopt Kinetic Technology for the
Worlds toughest off road race 11/03
Kinetic are delighted to announce that after months of intense development with Mitsubishi Motor Sport, they have adopted Kinetic RFS systems for use on their 2004 Dakar race vehicles. "Mitsubishi is arguably the world's leading Rally Raid Team, so this deal further confirms the performance of our passive technology" said Kinetic's Managing Director, Andy van Kann.
"This new anti-roll bar system is similar to the one used so successfully by Citroen in the FIA World Rally Championship," said Thierry Viardot, Technical Director at Mitsubishi Motors Motor Sports GmbH. "It improves stability during cornering and ensures that the Evolution handles more like a WRC car. It is particularly useful on twisty special stages, narrow tracks and the traditional Prologue stage. Another of the system's strengths is its adaptability on bumpy tracks and in sand holes."
Arguably the toughest and most unforgiving motor race in the World the Dakar Rally starts in France and makes it's way through Spain then crosses the Mediterrainean for stages through 5 African countries finishing in Dakar, Senegal

Western Australian Technology helps Citroen
take World Rally Championship. 01/03
In their first serious year of competition in WRC, Citroen Sport clinched the Manufacturers Championship using their Citroen Xsara WRC rally cars. The cars driven by Sebastian Loeb, Carlos Sainz and Colin McCrae were all fitted with suspension technology designed and developed by Kinetic Pty Ltd.
"When we took the decision back in 2001 to work with Citroen Sport, our expectation was that we would get a few good results in 2003. The fact that the Xsara's have clearly outpaced the opposition on tarmac and gravel all year has been the validation we have always wanted that our suspension technology is world class" said Kinetic's Managing Director, Mr Andy van Kann.
Kinetic's Chief Engineer of MotorSport:- "Working closely with Citroen Sport has been exhilarating. Their professionalism and engineering excellence has shown in the 2003 results. Its been an honour to develop our technology with such a dominant team. We are looking to do further development with Citroen Sport in 2004".
